Do the repair and ammo costs go up a lot as you advance into better tanks?

They do but so far with in reason and as a small %. Basically you get enough to cover the rebuild in a loss and a bit more in a victory. I've bought and then "sold" most of the lower level stuff. As you get to the "better stuff" the arty gets ungodly and you get mixed in with the big boys. Got as Su-76 and tricked it out but sold it. You can put 4-5 rounds in a KV or JS series tank and get nada and the arty gives you no chance to really set up. The PZIIIa is pretty much useless since the quick fire guns are useless and the 50/L42 doesn't to squat vs anything you'll find in the big boy arena. Right now using a maxed out MS-1, pzIIlushe(?) maxed out with an upgunned jagdI. Think I'm just holding till I can get a leopard light tank. Fast well protected for its size and hits hard.

Think they're all on the FW channel (anyone on channel, myself included) can PM ya the info if ya want.  Just don't think they would like having the info (password) out in the open. :)

Only seen 1 AHer in an actual match so far and it was Minke.

How do the comms work? all text or vox type? I think I've run into mute but thats it...love to hook up with some other AHers in there...got about 3 days in so far so still in noobville. Mostly in shoot and scoot mode since I can't get enough scraped up to get a decent ride. My advice for others is learn what you can. I went soviet early and ditched my maxed out SU-76 (very narrow gun laying with marginal stopping power and no speed) and BT-2. Got the 35t worked it to the 38t for hetzer then sold it, pzIIIa for pzIII (sold) pzIIlushe... so "lost" enough points to have a leapord LT or similiar. The tier 3-4 zone of stuff is tough since your in with the big boys. I agree that learning arty and getting a decent SP ride is a key to building up your toys...

no vox only text, if you want Vox you need vent or some outside voice setup. my name there is whiteman, either roll a Tiger I, Tiger II or VK3601 so i might get you into games that wouldn't be much fun for lower teir tanks.

You'll get the hang of it. Was able to progress up to the 3601h in 3 days. Should be driving a tiger 2 by now minus my moving :( . Bet karaya is at a tiger by now as well.

Arm the Hetzer with the 105mm howitzer,it reloads slowly but will damage anything it hits.Try to find a good spot to hide and ambush others with a couple of quick shots.Buying a camo net is a great addition to your inventory. It adds to your ability to stay concealed and is transferable to other GVs.  :salute

Well at the end of 2 days of playing I'm getting pretty fair with the MS-1, best run was 5 kills. Tried the T26 and didn't like it at all, then the Stug, and hated that.  Took me half a day of grinding to make enough credits to get the AT-1 bought, updated, and upgunned to the 76mm. I do love one shot sniping someone halfway across the map. :) But it is not fast, and its limited traverse makes mixing it up at close range a quick way to die.

Starting to play with the BT-2, at last a tank with some speed! If only it had some more punch!

Considering going back and trying the German side, really wish the US side was available also.

Put the 45mm on the BT-2, it takes most of the tanks you will be going against down by ~33%, and is pretty accurate as well, even when on the move. Combine that with mad penetration, and you have a winner.

I have a VK3001(P).  NOt a bad tank.  I usually come out about 5-6K ahead every match.  Also have a fully upgraded Leopard with 100% crew for scouting.
Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

this game can't go full release fast enough, 0-13 tonight and my team seems to get dropped off by the short bus every match.

I had a good one this afternoon in my AT-1.

6 enemy left alive, me and an spg on our side.
I managed to pick off 4, the spg got another, then died and the last tank got me just before I could turn and fire. :(

I lost, but they knew they'd been in a battle!
