I think you have that backwards dweeblet. Only dweebs like outside views and unrealistic controls. Despite what the ads say it isnt realistic at all.

Only dweebs like games that aren't exactly historically accurate?  Lol, no, I think what you're referring to is "people who like to have fun".  I get my real kick off of AH and FSX, but WoT is great for some quick action and squad based tactics.

Thats the only thing Im not impressed about is the third person view for the tank and the gunsight on screen rather than in the turret. in my opinion AH has them beat there. but as far as graphics variety, etc. WoT has them.

Which trailer showed that?  All of the official trailers and adverts of the game have never alluded to the game having 'realistic controls' like we have in our tanks.  I've been following this game ever since they tried to pitch it to my company and a 'realistic sim' was never part of the intended design of the game.  They do however, try and model the tanks and vehicle characteristics as authentic as possible and so far they've done a pretty good job at that.  

From the posts you've made in the Wishlist forums (i.e. Iwo Mustangs), one would get the idea that historical accuracy isn't your strong point so it's funny seeing you bash a game due to being historically inaccurate.

Mine was instant, I got my key about 15 seconds after filling out the application.  Some have had to wait a couple of days to get the beta code and others have found some gaming sites giving away beta keys.

Your best bet would be to send Mensa a PM and see if he has any beta keys left over.  He snagged a bunch up from different sites and might have one or two left over.  Like I mentioned earlier, there is about 10-13 of us current and ex-AHers that hang around at the Flamewarriors BBS that have joined together and play.  Once the game goes live, we'll be able to group up as teams for the matches and clan battles.  My handle in WoT is Ack_Ack, not to be confused with AckAck (he's a salamander).

WOT is a way better game then AH with regard to tanks. No one can touch AH as a flight sim though.

Having to jump around positions in the tank and shift gears is an effort in self torture.  


Some people could really help themselves by taking a hard look at the game model and stealing it.

The idea of having any prototype tank is pretty cool. Lots of interesting German stuff like the Tank that should been the Panther, the VK3002DB.

The American line will have all the American heavies that will tear up the German junk when it comes out.  ;)

Very fun game.

I don't know.  The whole concept of internal hit points doesn't feel like it is based on anything other than making tough tanks even tougher.  But that is a gaming concession based on the extremely close combat that dominates.

They say there will be a Japanese line.  That will be the place to see once and for all whether they are trying to be "accurate" or basing things primarily on "gaming concessions" since there really weren't any Japanese tanks that matched well with contemporary mediums, let alone heavies.

In the US tank branch where they list the premium tanks, it shows a couple of US captured Japanese tanks.

I am having a lot of fun with it.  My time is limited these days, so something I can jump into and play almost immediately is a big plus.  Doesn't work that way for me in AH.
