.......well ok so maby the kids will be ok, but what the heck, it works for the Media.

3dmark2001 has caused an error in D3D8.DLL
3dmark2001 will now close.

If you continue to experence problems, try restarting your computer.

I get this when running the DEMO, about 12 seconds after it gets to the scene from the Matrix.

Also it WILL NOT benchmark, it says its loading the first test then it drops to desltop (no error is listed when that happens)

Im kinda peeved because it DID work before, i havent done enything that should have cause any problems...
Any ideas on how to fix this?

HAVE TRIED:
reboot (duh)
DL and reainstall of program

HAVE NOT TRIED
Reinstall DX8a
Reinstall drivers
(havent tried theat because they are all the latest REGESTERED drivers.

T-Bird 800
V5 5500
128mb PC-133
Plie of crap HD
FIC-SD11 MOBO

Downloaded the program today and tried it myself.. I'm running a voodoo 5 agp..

Try setting it to Software T&L instead of hardware t&l and see if that works.. did for me...

Still working on a couple other things with it.. doesn't seem to like voodoo 5 cards lol..

Says local video memory is 32mg when it should be 64mg.. unless thats what the texture memory is <shrug>

Anyone who can help here?

Bane, it says only 32 mb because it only sees the first chip and not the second.

ANywho 3Dmark is misbehaving oddly anyway, it says my memory is running at 66mhz, even though its PC-133, so i dunno.

Duh it says 32mb because thats all each chip has access to. As somebody said before its not a true 64mb card simply because it cannot access 64mb of memory for textures, as it utilises 2 chips EACH chip only has access to 32mb its best to think of it as 2 32mb cards sharing the load.
And yes i know it has 64mb on the card.

Wobble you may have PC133 memory but if you dont tell your motherboard about it then it usually does not automatically adjust to it.
I suggest you go check as it could be to your advantage to set the FSB to 133 or even 100 would be better than 66
