Sept FSO - Should Have Been A Milk Run – Europe 1944

Registration is open for new squads.

Registered squads can now update their squad information, change their pilot commitment, squad contacts, and move to inactive status is need be.

Dates are:
Frame 1, September 3rd
Frame 2, September 10th
Frame 3, September 17th

*Please note that the squads that are assigned Allied will be using air starts exclusively in the new Germany terrain. I strongly suggest everyone practices this before Frame 1.

Any questions or errors spotted, please post them up in here.

Why can't the Germans use air starts?  There are some if I'm not mistaken...

Air starts are all allied (Bishops) getting bombers to altitude and formed up also the distances they would have to fly led to the Allied air starts.

Because G2s were long past by the time this setup is taking place.

On the surface it looks like an allied landslide with all US planes coming in at 35-40K and all spits and temps chasing down anything that tries to drop below 20. Been done before in FSO (different setup, same planes) and it's never pretty.

At the end of the war you wouldn't find any G2s flying with the Luftwaffe outside of flight schools, as far as I recall.

edit: got an osprey book showing II/JG3 operating G2's in April 1944.
