Stemming from Nemisis' Thread, I was looking into the Romanian IAR 80/81s...  

There are many variants to the plane;  It's a Romanian Born Monoplane, and sexy IMO too!  In service from 1939- 1944 ish?

+1 would also like the IAR. 80C. Has pretty much the same loadout as the spits V-IX.


And it is sexy. A little reminiscent of the F4U, IMO.

Look a little like F4U and 190.   +1 on this one, we need more diversity of AC/ and countries.

4900ish pounds max weight? Thats bout the weight of a brewster or zeke. The 6 .30 cals would be a major source of frustration.

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB
