no I didnt step over the line, that time. there's some other's i have and only got warned but that time, I dont think so.
anyway, you are right, I like to think I have changed from a confrontational thing from last year to this year, or at least I try. I keep trying every day. there's a line between teasing other players and outright insulting them and getting personal. there's no excuse for that, as for teasing, there's limits, but I mostly like to mess around. anyway, back to the game.

Take no offense, but the fact that you were muted (for WHATEVER reason) is proof enough that you did in fact, step over the line.
I will agree with you... teasing aside, there is no excuse for personal insults and what not, but there are better ways at getting your point across without resorting to profanities and/or threats.
I had a guy in the same country land several kills. Although he was not in our squad, he was in a squad that flew with us occasionally and I teased him with a simply "you suck" message on the country channel. He came right out of the gate, saying something along the lines of "you got a problem with me?" so I simply replied "Relax.. I was just teasing".
Immediately after that, he PM'd me with threats, and stuff like "you don't have the BALLS to come talk to me face to face on channel 123" and "you'd better hope you don't run into me on the street" and junk like that. So, just to try to get him to understand it was just light sarcastic teasing, I went to channel 123 where he IMMEDIATELY started screaming and cussing at me on VOX. I told him to have a nice day and went back to my squad's channel.
But no, it didn't end there. He tracked me down and started yelling and threatening me on private text, and on range Vox. I was just letting him get it out of his system and right when he started to calm down, I simply said "I feel sorry for your wife"... and then he REALLY went crazy!
I ended up reporting and squelching him, but my squaddies were telling me he kept going on and on about it for hours! It was the craziest thing I ever saw! That dude has some serious mental issues and he needs to find professional help ASAP (I told him that too) before he ends up murdering someone, or giving himself a heart attack. If he reads this thread, then he'll know who he is. I'm not especially religious, but I seriously pray that he finds peace in his life.
Any way, my point is that I could have easily let my anger overtake me and dropped down to his level by threatening back and cussing him out as well, but I chose not to. And somehow.. I didn't get squealched.. hrmm.
