Hey pinewood, this has been asked before, has been deemed lacking in respect to those who gave their lives so bravely in kamikaze attacks. I would not mind the idea, but I am respectfull that to Japanese players it would be an upsetting thing to witness. Just like the removal of swastikas from the game, kamikaze is probably never gunna happen.

well did you know that in like 1943 or something the japanes had aculy been forced to do kamakazes if thay knew thay wer going down?
Planes I'm good in the Bf-109 G14, the B-25C, and the B-17G not many but its nice for me to know :P

Where do you get this load of crap?  Certainly not any history books because I seriously doubt you've ever cracked one open or seen what one looks like.

In a lot of cases if the pilot was going to die anyway, he would crash his plane into something in a "if I'm gonna go down, I'm gonna take someone with me" kind of thing.  They weren't forced, no more than pilots of other countries that did the same.

I don't really think it would be insensitive, considering those pilots knew exactly what they were doing and exactly what the consequences would be.

Seriously people this is a VIDEO GAME....whether or not someone is offended shouldnt concern you.....its their life if they dont like it no one is forcing them to play.....and im sure when given a choice they would rather just ignore it, than choose to not play.

Tho i think that they dont enable the damage on crash for a reason cuz then you would have people crashing in to what ever they can find when they get damaged enough....already people crash in to tanks and what have you but they dont damage the tank...as someone once put it, its more like an "act of defiance".

Id rather play the game to fly the planes and get in to dog fights not play the game so i can fly to a destination and then crash in to it...i can do that already if wanted too...but that would just be stupid if i did.

and that German crap its one of the more stable and better countries in Europe.  Yet still id rather not live their since they limit freedoms as they do....you start by limiting the swastika....and then what is going to be illegal next saying things that go against the govt even if they happen to be true, and are legitimate concerns.

Remember this is a video game its not real, it cant hurt you, nor can it offend you (you can be ignorant and be offended or you can be reasonable and inteligent and realize that the game isnt out to offend or infringe on your sensibilities)...The problem isnt with the game its with the way people think...people think they are entitled to live life and never be offended and if they are they sue someone or try and make a law against it, which is just childish at best.

Most of them were blindly following a dogmatic belief that the emperor was a god and kept ignorant intentionally so as to be ruled by said emperor. Such practices are still alive in parts of the world today.

Doesn't mean the people knew what they were doing, if they were lied to and misled their entire lives. To them there simply was no way of objecting, saying "No, I don't wanna do this" -- and basically most were unskilled civilians rushed through rudimentary flight school with no skills whatsoever.

they were stupid they allowed them selves to be dominated by the govt and if people dont start waking up here in the USA the same kind of stuff will happen....

They had a choice still and they  still choose the easy way out...that the emperor is god he makes my choices and my decisions for me and what he says goes...
They could have objected and be killed sure...but think about it this way....the nazi soldiers who used the "Nuremberg defense" even though they knew their orders were wrong on every level....they still choose to carry them out...at the time they would have been killed for not following orders...but then again after the war they were sentenced to death anyways.

That is why soldiers or police or any other profession, try and justify the wrongs they do as, "im just following orders" are idiots, and dont realize that they swore an oath to the constitution, and not an oath to blindly follow what ever their leaders say...but in the usa if you carry out the orders to torture you get arrested and sentenced to jail...but if you are the president or vice president, you can legally GIVE the orders to torture, without fear of prosecution?????

I dont think you miles, or anyone can understand what was going through there minds, so you really have no right to call them stupid

so you  think that believing your leader is god is perfectly fine and normal and wouldn't really lead to a situation down the road where those in power would do bad things (harming the citizens they control, but who cares they are just slaves right and they dont matter) and abuse their power...because people with power never abuse it right....you dont think that giving someone total control of a society and i mean TOTAL CONTROL  is a smart thing to do, do you?

you dont think making laws to keep the commoners from having weapons is something that is conducive to a free society do you???  (it was a feudal system and only the samurai class were allowed to have weapons, and could maim kill or order around anyone below him, in what ever capacity)

These people were oppressed for hundreds of years and they had freewill they could have fought against the tyranny which some probably did but the majority was just fine with going along with the program and not standing up for what is right and what is good...they relied on their govt to protect them, to make decisions with their best interest in mind which is never the case and those who do rely on the govt in this way is bound to be let down.

You are right tho by the time ww2 came along it was too late and the amount of lies and propaganda would have made it hard for even the most informed of Japanese to figure out what is true and false.

Hell, I'd love to see the wing of the P-51D with 6x 50mm's mounted in it.  Must have been a very large wingspan.
