so there i was
« on: November 21, 2010, 11:03:32 PM »
sitting innocently in the japanese fighter hangar. in my p-39D airacobra.  :devil
thinking i'm out of sight, and waiting for the first japanese fighter to roll. i figured i'd fire up, and reverse vulch him as he took off.  :devil
unfortunately, imadot got to the tower, and heard me shut down, so i decided on a bit of different fun before i went to dinner.

instead, i pulled out next to him, and we let some of the propaganda photographers take some pictures. they mentioned being nervous due to the blood dripping from my airacobras mouth.

photoshoot done, we decided to check takeoff performance. seems the zeek is better at it. he was a floundering a little, but at 88mph, he was airborne, and i was still rolling.....

finally, at about 114mph, i got wheels off...

now we're lookin good.

time to compare turning performance.

 was doing ok till here......

which lead to here.......

and that's when the overmodeled ground ate my beautiful peee39 for dinner.  :cry :cry

there was a time in air warrior, that i had done that.....and i thought abuot that here.......but my luck would've been that they'd have spawned on the other end, and we'd have ended up in a ho/vulch joust.  :noid :rofl

besides......it would've been more fun, climbing up their tailpipes when they thought something was over at the town.  :devil

Only fair the ground ate you for dinner...you certainly ate a facefull of it yourself.   :neener:

By the way, I wasn't "floundering" during takeoff...I was merely checking your port side to make sure no squirrels were attached.  :D
