USB Hubs and CH Sticks (2 Sep questions)
« on: February 04, 2001, 01:44:00 PM »
Hi all,
Anyone out there use a USB hub? I realize it's not necessary for AH, but I have other sims *cough* that i would like to be able to use the X36/CHpro pedals combination. helicopters just don't fly the same without pedals.
If you hook 2 controllers up through one hub, do you get all functions of each, or do some drop out to make room? Does anyone use this kind of thing successfully?
My next option is to just go ahead and get a full CH Pro Hotas setup that's all compatible with each other... f-16 stick is out now, and the throttle will be out this month. I really like the Saitek I have now, so I don't want to just go out and buy CH if I'm not going to be happy with it.
   Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Use Bob Church's pedal driver . It's on the www.stickworks.com  site . You can use your Saitek stick and ch pedals in older game NP then .

Airspro, thanks. I looked into the site, read all the ReadMes, I think I have a pretty clear idea of it all. Sounds simple enough.

Wish me luck, will probably be a couple of days (today is Monday) before I get a chance to do it. Thanks again.

Relating to the original post, is there a need for a USB hub at some point? Does anyone use one and why?

Maybe if you had more than two usb inputs to plug in , or one took alot of power . I have heard of USB powered hubs too , or you have the pc hid awayyyyyyyy back so it's hard to get to the plugs ?

PS: Make sure the Saitek is #1 controler and pedals #2 , with Church's driver .
