Up this week: Battle of Britain

Battle of Britain

It's in the middle of the Battle of Britain as Germany plan to bomb England into submission prior to launching Operation Sealion takes hold. However, something isn't just right - the Luftwaffe seem to be running into roadblocks from the senior military leadership - Göring thinks Germany must bomb ports, factories, and plants while Hitler thinks bombing the cities is the way to put England in her place. He's not convinced and it's now approaching Fall 1940.

Battle of Britain

For me, this has always been the standard by which all others are judged.  My very favorite.  Spit I v. Emil may be the best match AH2 has to offer.

Yep - I made a typo with the Blenheim and accidently deleted the I.  The good ole carb version where if you put the aircraft into any negative G position, it will stall the engine vs the slick fuel-injected leading tech edge Emil or Bf-110C-4.

Here's an interesting what-if...what if the 110 was designed to be a single pilot/no gunner aircraft, what kind of weight savings would of there have been and its impact on performance?

Not much, I bet.  They probably would have just used the extra room for more ammo  :D

Dot Dar range should really at least extend from coast to coast at the minimum.  For two reasons, in an arena with such small numbers it helps locate and promote the fight.  Many people may pop in and think nothing is happening by looking at the DAR and leave.  Secondly it would help keep the fight mid channel, at least for those just looking to do the furball thing.    :salute

Pipe dreaming here but wouldn't it be cool to set up a night and time to have a German bomber mission with escorts head for London and a bunch of spit drivers waiting in the tower with some scouts out or till the dar lit up?   I could be Ben AFLAC!!!
