New Visiontek GeForce 2 GTS... Best Settings?

You may have read in "DX8 is from Hell" but I just got my new video card installed.

Initial improvements from my Voodoo3 3000 PCI:
AH can now run in 32 bit (yeah!) and FPS has doubled (~avg 60-70 fps & 40 in smoke).  Text is MUCH better in AH, and I can fly through the smoke now.

Current system setup:
DX7a, Nvidia Detinator 12.41 drivers, 1024x768 @75Hz 32 bit desktop.
My monitor runs best at that resolution/refresh rate.

Before I make to many adjustments I thought I would ask what settings you folks recomend.
Any changes from default in the Advanced Properties?

How much better is DX8? Should I be concerned with other drivers going dorky with DX8?  Sound for instance (SB Live!)? I know some guys in our SQ have had probs since DX8.

I tried different settings too, to the eye no real visual difference, But in benchies i raised my scores
You may want to try DX8.1 and 12.90 Dets (just a thought)  DX8.1 can be found at http://www.ipkonfig.com

I will try to find a decent site that explains messing with the settings, Got a printout here but boy it's long winded and i aint got time at the moment to type it all in
