Here is what I dont understand about the B-29. If I take 40 500lbs bombs that 20,000 lbs of ord. If I take 12 1000lbs of ords that 8000lbs light then before. why does the B-29 climb rate not change at all? Just wondering. Cool new plane though!!! WTG

B-29 can't fly between 35,000ft and 40,000ft.  if you're going to give advice, please make sure it's correct.

Shooting out of the tail of the B29 is terrible. Can't see the target unless it's directly on your level 6. Too much junk metal in the way. I can tell I'm gonna need lots of practice trying from the # 5 & 6 positions. Maybe I'll try from the outside view. My first encounter was with a p51 that simply looped 3 times an killed all 3. Had trouble seeing him. Few .50 cal rounds and i was burning. Was it that vulnerable?

it wasnt easy to shoot down if thats what you mean. i think HTC made it liek this for 2 reasons. 1 to keep it balanced, and 2 to make players who fly it. really really think, about how they fly their missions in it.

no its a flying gas tanker. plus its to much of a high price perk plane. it'll be like the ferrari. you would be so worried about losing it that you wouldnt want to take it out. then when you do wanna take it out well theres a new bomber out and you just gotta check it out. lol

PS need more screens. the rules still apply screens or films or you kills with a B-29, you killing a B-29 or just plain old crashes and taxi and take off accidents.

Question for you....you mentioned that you cant drop the gear at the last second like in a B17.....  What would be the parameters to drop the gear to ensure that your formation drones land on the runway?

Like he said, drones won't count, but like you, I like to have mine land with me. You can drop it but make sure you have a low enough air speed that you won't roll off the runway

Use the down arrow key to slide back then press F10 to keep that position

I caught a lone B-29 at about 8k.  Put one into one of the engines for a nice fireball.

The pilot's view is pretty damn cool.

I'm gonna be disappointed if the fire thing's not a bug.  I was almost tempted to play again for the challenge of killing these with a 152.

Actually it doesn't. The Offline Drones have odd damage models, they will continue to fly with wings missing and engines on fire forever.
