The Devils are far less detrimental to the game than some of the other horde groups, particularly when multiple squads gathered together under a single banner to steamroll any good game-play. If I had any gripe with the Devils it would be for allowing vDallas to continue to berate people while turning a blind eye just because he can be effective at taking bases.
They were pretty much a joke all night tonight. Bum rush a base, flatten it, take it, and then run and hide till the next "attack".

Tyrannis, would you up to intercept 10k doras  if you know all of them will run to the first sight of danger? If you dont think its a waste of time, come to knit or rook, and try catching them  :aok

simple.. they have it down to a science, often one of the first things they take out is the FH, to prevent people like me upping. Then they take the base before you can get there from another base....

you can take a base very quickly when you have 30+ people organized....

debrody the way you state it, it sounds like it would be VERY easy to chase them away. just up 10 spit16s. they'll see the danger and run away like you say they do. then boom base defended.

its as easy as that if they really run like you guys claim they do.

bunny, i can see how people would think thats unfair. but pretty much thats one of the only ways to take a base nowadays.

ive seen it many times where failed base taking attempts will turn into a furball where ppl stop caring about taking the base and only care about having there kills flash up for everyone to see.

not agreeing hat what they do is right, its just one of the few ways to garrentee a base capture...

if you find fun chasing doras in spixteens, GL     its actually a bit ironic couse some of them rather die in the ack only to kill the radar but run if they lose the energy advantage over an other plane

no you can get a fight going and take it.. I've seen it happen many times.... Its not about being fair, its about wanting to play the game and actually fight.

There is NOTHING you can do. Look at this mentality:
Psh, defend? That's the wrong mindset.
These guys obviously dont like to fight. To me, this is like slapping the biggest guy at the bar, then running away as fast as you can. This happens night after night after night. The wack a mole pattern develops that a good fight erupts, they start loosing the upper hand, then :bolt:. How many times a night can you say "where did they all go?". Now here you are dressed up for a boxing match only to realize the fights at another end.

As it stands, the attackers have all the advantage here. Consider an average night sayyyy 180 players in one arena with a large map. 60 bish/60 rook/60 knight. You post a mission and its very typical on an average night to get 15-20 in that mission. Thats 1/3 of a gaggle of a country that now is focused onto a single base on a huge map with sayyyy 200 basses. Now consider in order to mount a decent defense, it will usually take you a good 5 minutes to up from the nearest base in order to avoid the HOers and vulchers. NOT nearly enough time to thwart it because by the time you get there, the base is captured and the moles have already decided where to pop out of the next hole.

So now I ask HTC and guys that participate and/or condone this type of gameplay:Ultimatley, is this the game you want in the end? A version of capture the flag or race to reset maps? What happens when we all stop fighting, how  boring would that be? Ever see the tantrums they throw when the same game is played on them?
I love the fact the noobs are having fun and that we are attracting new blood by letting them taste victory, but all this is doing is feeding the egos of the seasoned armchair generals that have the uncanny ability to herd sheep.
Talk was made a few months back of base captures being too hard and we have seen a decline in the arenas. You can see that even the most seasoned furballer came to the conclusion that the game needed to be tweeked so they can get their game back. Well..WTG, you got it!! Dar circles are back to where they were, towns now easier to capture, CVs are now holy shrines that can be hidden at the corner of maps rendered unusable and heck...even the war now is easier to win. To the new guy..this is fantastic. Unfortunately guys that have been here for years who just log on for a few sorties its causing major burnout. Already for guys that do this have to make adjustments to their game ( upping from a different feild, bailing from perfectly good sorties) in order to look for action and find their fun in the game. Having to do this night after night takes the wind out of your sails and soon you find yourself logging less and less time to the point of just saying why am I even subscribing? Perhaps its better that we get new blood in here, but personaly..Ive seen wayyy to many good guys leave because of this and I dont see a good future being in order to REALLY have fun, you have to be in some mega squad which most of us dont care too anyway.

It's hilarious reading the self-contradictory nonsense you see in these hate-on threads. We only fly Doras at 20k, we're all lawn dart porkers and baby seals, we're always Lancstukaing, we only attack undefended bases, we never defend bases we take.... What's really odd is how some of us rack up 500 kills or more per tour and up to 10 kills/hour while never seeing an enemy plane we don't run from.  Altogether we had almost 6,000 kills last tour. How many runway vulches can you get from 20k in Doras with all the hangars down, and how many fighter kills in dive-bombing Lancs? How many kills can 30 guys average in an hour chasing lone cons and running from anything more? How many defenders can one horde kill at an undefended base? We must have both godlike superpowers and REALLY bad mechanics to kill all those enemies and lose all those planes (only about 15% of which are from ack, guns, or flaks) without ever getting near the enemy.

Debrody, 9 times out of 10 if you see more than 3 of us in 190D9s above 10k we're coming in from another field to clear a capped friendly base. Oh, wait, I forgot, we're now told it's impossible to get to a field under attack from a nearby base before the base under attack gets captured because captures are so easy now. Hmmm, must be a lot of incompetent rook and nit hordelings, then, since they so often can't close the deal before our "20k" fighter sweep gets there. Or maybe it's just an offensive fighter sweep... oh, wait, we run from all opposition, so why would we run a fighter sweep? Anyway, when we're taking bases you'll see a lot more of us in heavy jugs, ponies, and CV planes than in Doras. The F6F has many virtues, but being good at running away from 109K4s (or anything other than slow turny birds) ain't one of them. (Likewise the N1K, which is what you'll usually find me in when defending or furballing - not a good plane for running.)

If you whiners are gonna lie your butts off about how we operate, you might at least want to try and get your stories straight.   :rofl

Oh, and Tralfazz, get a life and get help. You say you are above hating anyone, but you spend more time trollling the forum to spew venom at us in every thread where one of us posts than you do in the arena.

I'm personally very happy for the V-Devils. They finally take bases during the day now. Instead of being a vampire with fangs for teeth, taking bases while no ones defending them.

The triple 7 had to bring in 8 B29s just to level 3 the airfields just to stop their raids.

It was between me and Coprhead, and had to do with an exchange between the two of us on 200 a while back, and was never taken seriously.... just two guys making jabs at each other.

And both my kids are honors students and tops in their classes, so you don't have to worrk about what "offspring" may result from me procreating.  :) :aok
Yep...its like picking on a friend at a bar for taking home the fat chick.  Never been serious about it at all.  As for my offspring...I've made it 30 years without any I know of. After seeing some of the kids in this game, I hope to make it another 30.
