you've obviously never driven in nj. and philly makes nj drivers look good.
I have driven in Philly. I have driven the (almost) length of NJ on 95 multiple times. I would give those people relatively high marks, except the truckers and who knows where they are from.
AR has absolutely zero requirement for driver's ed. None.
The written test is a joke and the driving part is if you can sucessfully get in a car, put on a seatbelt, start the car and drive it around the building without crashing--you pass. When driving down the road here you MUST expect the vehicles around you to do the stupidest thing possible (because they do) or you die. Checking mirrors, signaling a turn or lane change, or stopping at a yellow light is nonexistant. Running red lights seems to be the sport of choice and stop signs must be "suggestions".
Sure, drivers in little Rock are a bit better as is in Fayettville but they are exceptions.
Benton/Bryant are by far the worst and Hot Springs, Pine Bluff, and Russellville are not far behind.
"Little Jimmy" gets his licence suspended after his 6th "wreck" and gets dropped by his insurance. "Jimmy" finds out nobody will write him and the state's "last chance" car insurance is so expensive he passes on it. "Jimmy" keeps driving anyway on a car he got his folks to put in their name. "Jimmy" keeps on driving until he's either in jail or in a box.
Don't get me started on people still driving on their 3rd and 4th DWI.
