French Vulch
« on: March 24, 2011, 01:59:33 PM »
The French are using our Hoard tactics in the real world...

Quote
".......Initial reports of the French action said the Libyan plane, a G-2/Galeb with a single engine, was in the air when it was hit.

But French military spokesman Col Thierry Burkhard later said the plane had just landed when the attack took place.

The French jet, a Rafale, fired an air-to-ground missile, other reports said. ......"

PLEASE DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A POLITICAL DISCUSSION.  I read this and thought of all the times I was vulched on the runway.  Just thought I would share for those that read the bbs more than our media outlets. :)

thats the first thing I thought of when I heard this story ... ROCKET VUUUUULCH!

edit:
media take on it - yesterday the RAF top honcho said that the Libyan airforce's capability had been destroyed. today the media are saying "but the Libyans have a fighter flying around! you havent destoyed the Libyan airforce at all!".

they just dont get the concept of capability. one POS 1960s trainer armed with 2x .50cals flying around in airspace filled with Rafales, Typhoons, Tornados, FA-18s and presumably a bunch of other equally deadly aircraft really isnt a threat unless the flaming wreckage happens to land on someone. even the BBC are chasing this, very disappointing.

Vultching is ok, Churchill said so.
