Flight modeling changed?
« on: May 24, 2011, 05:46:09 PM »
I have noticed the 4hog doesn't respond like it used to. I asked a few team mates and they also noticed their planes "seem" sluggish.
I used to be able to recover and land after having a wing tip shot off and now its a bit cattywompus to stick stir and button pushing looking for the "sweet spot" to keep from augering after a tip is missing. My stick settings in the game and windows have not changedso I ruled that out.
Has anyone else noticed this?

i think we're informed of flight model changes, i'm pretty sure it would be listed under changes made in whatever update you think this happened in.   i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure the flight model is the same  :aok

I believe you're right. There have been other changes. The Jug feels much heavier on one side after you drop a thousand-pounder. It really requires effort to keep it in level flight/climb, than before.  :joystick:

You would think any flight model changes would be listed in the updates. I have been noticing some sluggishness and stuff.

And yes....I said cattywompus lol

It's possible..take a look at the 5th change, maybe the F4U-4 was one of the models they "randomly tampered with"?  :headscratch:

Version 2.24 Patch 4 Changes
======================

Fixed an issue that could cause you to lose voice comms after minimizing to Windows.

Fixed an bug with the rearming pad that caused your weapon selection to get out of sync.

Fixed an issue with appending films in the film viewer.

Fixed an issue with the B-29 side gunner positions not hitting their azimuth limits correctly.

Randomly tampered with various flight models by decreasing response and increasing cattywompus.

Hmm seems logical enough.
