I'll say this, most of the time I could care less what Hollywood has going on, but if she's cool about this, and doesn't turn it into some sort of circus, she will both be ingratiating herself to every military member out there, and will get a perspective that will change her life.  Just let it be a night she uses to be a gracious guest of the good Sergeant, and to meet and chat up his fellow Marines, and she'll become a hero to those guys of epic proportions.

What is it the SAS say?  Who Dares, Wins?

Too bad you have to stereotype all actresses into one group.  Had she said "no," I'm sure you would have had plenty of other terrible things to say about her.  I'm sure the media will be all over this, but I'm with Stoney on this, if she plays it cool, she'll earn a lot of respect from me.

Actually, had she said no she would probably get my respect.  I am with Stoney too, but it has failed already.  The fact that it is in the media and the way it was done (the hole surprised act etc.) shows that it is just a publicity stand.  Why couldn't she just show up?  That would be cool, but no, we have to be told she is going to months in advance.

That doesn't necessarily make it a publicity stunt but it could be one.  The media will get involved in it whether she wants them to or not.
