Oh but haven't you heard the theory? Melting ice caps flood the ocean with fresh water, shutting down the North Atlantic Current (not entirely sure how), which would lower the temperature of the North atlantic by several degrees. Dis is serous watermelon  :noid.

In case you can't tell, I'm making fun of the people who freak out over climate change.
If that did happen would the ocean rise? Then we would need those amphibious cars and floating houses  :rofl

You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

My GPS says i'm 950 feet above sea level, I think i'm good  :rofl

People think that they can prevent this, when the reality is its a natural process, we might aid it just a tiny bit but global warming/climate change has been going on since the earth has had gases on it.

Don't beaches loose alt over time? I would think the ocean would drag sand out into the ocean, or put out more and have it rise  :headscratch:

tide goes out, beach erodes. tide comes in, beach un-erodes.

there have been some erosion problems, as all beaches have. nothing like the beach is sinking though. i remember when i was a kid....my grandparents would take us to atlantic city....back before the casinos turned it into "ghetto by the sea".
when the tid would come in, it nearly came all the way up to the boardwalk. it doesn't come that far anymore.

so much for ocean levels rising.  :aok

The skee ball machines still work at ocean city.

they did about 2 years ago, when i flew my friend and his wife there. was a fun runway there....constant crosswind, only 2200ft long, and 60ft wide.

Looking back I just answered my question, don't underestimate me, in 6th grade I knew more about science and the natural world then alot of 8th graders and my teacher at times. Now i'm just a B average finishing with a 97 in world history, and 89 in physical science, but Sometimes I don't use my brain anymore and thats what puts me behind.

No sir, I don;t underestimate you.  I was commending you on your vast experience, knowledge, and research on our planets climate.  But more importantly, on your focus on that subject and ignoring the easy stuff.  You cannot be an expert unless you have focus.  I also want to apologize.  I had no idea you knew more than 8th graders. :salute

I'm getting back in the game, I'm hoping to get a full A average this year, show my snobby ex i'm not the only one who can make straight A's  and I do use my common sense now, I used to be curious and touch when they said hot, or say no when offered weed, or not being a arse to people.

OK, now I am being serious.  My advice (and it may be worth nothing) is to always touch when they say hot.  Carefully or with a glove, but always touch.  Don't go through life taking peoples word for anything.  Find out for yourself and see how hot "hot" is to you.  Trust, but always verify.

Any advice that isn't bs is worth something, lol who knew being a teenager could be so hard  :lol but to be serious i'm always testing, most of the time i'll follow orders (or what people tell me to or to not do) but something silly like a hot plate doesn't strike me as being dangerous to touch, as long as I don't grab it lol but I understand what your saying
