I'm not a big bomber kind of guy but how do you not have the HE-111?  You almost have to include it in the plane set imho.

Same can be said for the Beaufighter, Ki-43, Wellington and Pe-2.

I am sure they will be added eventually.

I think it will be another tank only because it seems like HTC is competing with WOT to get some more tankers.

HTC better start with the "pouring" tanks out if they want to compete, WOT has about 50+ more tanks than AH does and is about 10 times more fun than in AH. Should I also include that it's almost impossible to camp in WOT? I should know since I play World of Tanks everyday.............

Is WoT a sim (armor, armor penetration, angles and such) or a fantasy MMO/arcade shooter (hit points and such)?

This is an honest question.

Well actually.......Armor, Armor penetration and angles all play a pretty big role.

Both, which makes it perfect.

Krusty is correct, to the best of my knowledge, about the He219.  Eric Brown, one of the cited sources on the page you linked, said that it was underpowered.  So far as I have been able to tell, the 416mph was a Heinkel claim, not something the RLM or Luftwaffe ever got out of it.  Perhaps unarmed, unarmored and without radar it could have done something like that.

It is a shame too as it is a very neat looking aircraft.  Almost insectoid with the radar on it.

How can it be both?  If it uses realistic armor pen and such, there can't be hit points, if it uses hit points and armor pen, well, that is much more arcade than sim.

"You skillfully snuck into range, got lucky and your HVAP round penetrated my Tiger II, but it only did 8 damage so my Tiger II still has 72 hit points left to slug it out with your T-34/85!" seems like it would be massively stacked against smaller tanks.

It's more of a sim, both WOT and AH take skill, but you have to know what your doing or you will die pretty fast. Mostly the rushers on the maps are the first to die quickly, the rest take a while to fight each other. In WOT you have to hit your rounds in the right place, it's not shoot and kill in 1 shot (depending on what kind of tank you have and what gun is on it).

The only difference is Ah doesn't give you a health bar for total tank armor points, everything else in WoT is there. Just as it is in Aceshigh code wise.

The arcade aspect is still there, just like it is in aces high. You can get gun knocked out, engine, tracks,turret..even the crew them self's in WoT. In WoT your tank can be repaired, tho with time. In aces high some poor fool has to drop a box off,and its insta fixed.

So, its the same.

The game play is different as WoT is set up in rounds, and not all out "spawn here "get camped and die instantly",drive x minutes/hours to x place, and camp till you get killed or limp back home banged up" like aces high.

And the engine is due for a major update that will allow much more realistic tank performance. Can we say 45km/h off a high high cliff!? "Weeeee............crash" :rock

"Edit" And its free.

WoT is bad for AH. Players left and HTC now focuses on tanks instead of airplanes.  :bhead

I am pretty sure this is false.  I don't think AH has "hit points" for armor.  You either penetrate it or you don't.  No gradual reduction in it, nothing in AH for a "health bar" to represent on tanks.  Well, I guess the treads might have "hit points".

Airplanes are a different story as, so far as I know, the components of the aircraft do have "hit points".
