i check it when i have nothing better to do, to educate myself on things ill never learn in school, to kill time while im waiting to leave to go somewhere and theres no point in being early.

is it just me, or do the horizontal stabilizers not have actual elevators on them?

They may be in the down position, which from that angle would make them extremely difficult to see from above, and in the shadow of the plane below.

Why would they be in the down position? The only reason I can think if makes no sense-- engines off=no hydraulics. But they didn't have hydraulic controls yet, did they?
