25 mile?  The WW2 atomic bomb major shockwave/destruction was only two miles in diameter.

The US estimate was 4.7 square miles of blast.fire damage.  An interesting tidbit is that the Enola Gay felt the
shockwave 11.5 miles away at 30k +.  Kind of makes you wonder what an aircraft at 10,000 feet and within 5 miles
would have felt.  Disregarding the potential for blindess, burns and radiation poisoning...all of which might have a slight
effect on combat effectiveness  :D

2 mile was severe damage but I can buy the 4 mile thing.  But most of that damage was due to shock wave damage.  Does AH even have shock wave damage for regular ordnance?

4.7 mi2 is a circle with approximate radius of 1.225 mi, giving it a diameter of approximately 2.4 miles.  You're both right enough for this thread.  :D

If a nook cost 500 perks and B29s cost 100+ perks, how many nukes would we actually see in the game?  Before the 15 vets in the game chime in and say they have four bazillion bomber perks, i'm talking about after the first 1-2 weeks after everyone wastes all their bomber perks dropping the nukes.  How long does it take the average player to acquire 500 bomber perks?  And if so, do they really want to waste their nuke on something meaningless?  This has merit.

It will have consequences that will effect game play beyond just atomizing something.  You will see a dramatic increase in perk farming in the EW and MW arenas where players will vulch 2nd accounts to spend on the atomic bomb and B-29s in the LW arena.  You know it will happen.

I think we should have the nuke but after it leaves the bomb bay you are discoed and your account gets deleted.   :devil
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

a bunch of no's but no good reasons why.

chipr,

FYI, HiTech has in the past stated that there wouldn't be a larger bomb than the 4,000lb 'cookie'.

Fat Man weighed 10,213 lbs.
Little Boy weighed 9,700 lbs.

Both were carried by specially modified "Silverplate" B-29s.

Quote
Modifications to the bomb bays were extensive and time-consuming. Its four 12 ft (3.7 m) bomb bay doors and the fuselage section between the bays were removed and a single 33 ft (10 m) bomb bay configured (the length of the gun-type shape was approximately 17 ft (5.2 m)). New bomb suspensions and bracing were attached for both shape types, with the gun-type suspension anchored in the aft bomb bay (although its length protruded into the forward bay) and the implosion type mounted in the forward bay.[1]:8 Separate twin-release mechanisms were mounted in each bay, using modified glider tow-cable attach-and-release mechanisms.[1]:9

In essence, the bombs are bigger than allowed under HTC's criteria and we do not have the plane to carry it in game.

Most of the "Shade" accounts I've ever seen people use to farm perks seem to disappear or change after two weeks.....

A computer/ip can only use a 2 week trial once from what I know.

From my attempted exploits, the 2-week trial is somehow embedded into the computers registry somewhere.
