that'll be a new keyboard Ded... thanks  :rofl

 :lol

It also works with mosquitoes and flies.  Of coarse it would be silly to use 30 tables spoons of sand on them.  1 or 2 will do just fine  :old:

Old Greek recipe, but it should work on any kind of snake.

I know when I did pest control for a while back in Australia many years ago we sprayed Chlordane.

It is an Insecticide that has long since been banned.

It worked though problem areas ceased to have issues with the Australian nasty's.

Probably every other living thing as well since it is banned.

heres the perfect snake remedy.

Step 1: aqquire 10 ga. shotgun
Step 2: shoot snake
Step 3: eat snake

or if the state doesnt allow for in-city shotgun snake removal do it all with a pellet gun.  :lol

I've seen the snake away stuff...

I think it's like mothballs - smells the same anyway. Supposed to put it around the perimeter of property to keep snakes from coming in. Only problem is, it keeps the snakes that are already on the property in!

man am I the only one who loves snakes?

to kill a snake "just because" is so wrong......

get a snake pole it will allow you to handle it and bring it far from the house....no need to kill them....grab it...around the neck with the pole, place it in a pillow case or large bag, drive it a few miles away......easy, and no killing of a creature that we are gonna make extinct..if we dont smarten up.

being afraid of snakes no matter what kind is ludicrous...unless your a woman........then its a bit more understanding. :old:

Okay I got a question on another site that baffled me.

Anybody ever hear about something (chemical) you can put on your property to repel rattlesnakes?

I've never heard of anything like it but if it exists I'm sure some AH'r will know.

There's a lot on the market but nothing works. Snake oil...

As somebody suggested, get to know the snakes and reason why are they coming to your property, which in most cases is food and/or shelter. Remove those and snakes will be gone too.

If all else fails, purchase half a dozen of kingsnakes (pet stores). They'll get rid of rattlesnakes for sure.

Bighorn is right, poisonous and constrictors will not be found in the same area (constrictors live in my FIL's yard, no rattlers or vipers ever in there)

I"ve moved a couple of snakes for people who dont like them - mainly constrictors (this is despite telling them of the benefits of having them around relatively nearby).

Moved a viper out of my FIL's garage (outside the yard). Grabbed it behind the head, held its tail, took it 200ft away from where he was, then let it go. Didn't hang around to see where it went, if they get annoyed with you, the viper will chase you around a bit lol.........(this one didnt fortunately)
