funny thread, does anyone has any idea of what they voted for?

I voted for the one with the twirly thing on the front and the fiddly bits on the ends.

Some 410 musings....

There's a small chance it was a few mph faster than that. The 388 oft-quoted has been commented on LEMB (or another forum like that, ww2aircraft.net, or something similar?) as possibly taken from a plane with external racks. Meaning the clean speed would be a few mph faster, mid 390-s. I read a short reference to this in a second place on the 'Net, but they didn't say the source, and could have been referring to the first place. More game-related I believe (one of the il2 mod pages, I think it was).

Not that I have found anything concrete. I suppose it doesn't change it much to add 7mph (12kmh quoted for racks, right?). Interesting to think about, though. Also, for comparison:

110g at 20k altitude.

100% fuel

360.........no gunpod or any ord loaded.
367 with wep

355.........gunpod only
360 with wep

347.........two rockets and gunpod
353 with wep

341.........four rockets and gunpod
348 with wep

330.........gunpod, drop tanks, and rockets
336 with wep

320.........gunpod, big bombs, drop tanks, and four rockets
324 with wep

"Clean" the 110G is close, but it is this NOE heavy role in the LWAs folks have mentioned that would see the larger performance gap, with less drag on the loadouts.

WMaker detailed in one of the last threads that something does not add up in the 410's aerodynamics (so little extra speed for so much more power and Cd or something), so I'd be wary of basing much speculation on a 110 loadout-varying speed survey.  More so if the forward fuselage shape is the cause as DTango suspects.

Never? Awww, c'mon now... It's good to try out all the planes in the game every so frequently. It keeps things fresh, introduces you to fun tactics (i.e. dogfighting in a B-25C solid nose), and helps keep you familiar with what they can do so you know how to kill them better if/when you run across them.  :joystick:

It also helps you keep proficienct for FSOs, scenarios, etc, if/when you need to fly one when it counts!

true for the most part....I cant fly FSO or scenarios...my connection sux to bad for that, but ya I understand what you are saying.

Better looks, internal and external
Maybe dive brakes on a few of the bomber variants
A bit more speed
50mm gun
glass cockpit
... Uh and MK 103, duh.  30mm with 50 cal ballistics.  Probably will be the best A2A gun in the game by far.

What the heck...? It appears as thought that version you posted the pic of (nice one, by the way) has a pair of guns in the side, that look to be aimable to some extent..? And was there a pilot AND a gunner/radio operator/navigator?

Yes the main variants were all two man crew.  The single seater was intended (as far as Luftwaffe General Galland could help it) to be 100% of day-operations destroyer production (something like half and half MK 103 and BK 5), but it all went into the toilet for Germany right around that time.

Seriously?...   :huh

Stop confusing me by answering my question with questions dernit, I can't make it any more simple.  It looks like an earlier model to me, and I am asking what the resource you are pulling it from cites the model as Moot, or no habla ingles?

Edited: Personal peeve I have to ask the same question three+ times in a row indifferently.

Nice. I've been hoping for the Me 410 to get added for 10 years. ( http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,1089.msg14527.html#msg14527 ) but due to a HD failure this weekend I actually didn't get to vote in final round.

I've promised myself to do a Me 410-only tour once it arrives.
