Just to throw some gas on the fire, I'd like to know what circumstances required the arrival of the package next day, and why having it arrive one day later than agreed upon made a big enough difference for all of this to be the result.  If it was that you were building something for somebody else, and the timeline was extremely tight etc, it would explain a great deal.  An explanation of this key pivotal point would clarify this weekends best bbs drama so far.

The way UPS/Postal/FedEx operate nowadays, I would personally be ecstatic just RECEIVING the package during the same week it was sent, never mind a day late.  That said, if I had an extremely time sensitive issue and somebody told me they were sending something next day air, and they sent it ground, depending on the situation, I might get PO'd as well.

We want more info!

We want more info!

actualy you do Gman........... ( not knowing truthfully which "Gman" you actually are????" ) <--- I say that cause "Gman" is a Damned squaddie.... the original one anyways.....

for me, both Lawndart and Steve are my comrades in AH, and the dispute is between the 2 of them.......... it is not to do with any of the rest of us, my feelings anyways...

I personaly think it is none of our F'in business in a public format.....

YMMV

Hmm this is about me, and the original poster isn't telling the truth.

The original poster agreed to overnight the package(purchase price included overnight shipping), which he didn't. He agreed to send it on a specific date, which he didn't.  He didn't send all the parts.  When I asked him about the missing parts, he said he'd send them out right away, which he didn't.  He hasn't sent me a single PM, at least  not one that I received. In the past, I  PM'd the original poster my phone number. He has never called me.

Because he had promised to overnight the package, I had two packages overnighted from Newegg so the rest of the PC parts would arrive at the same time. Since the original poster DIDNT overnight  the package as agreed, I wasted money on the overnight shipping of the stuff from Newegg.

Call the local cops.  After I have them in, finish a cup of coffee with them, and talk about our kids who all play hockey together(I'm one of the coaches), we'll have a good laugh at your expense.

By the way, Lawndart does NOT live in Wisconsin, he lives in PA.

Oh ya, one more thing:  I never agreed to payment terms so no matter what happens, short of not paying at all, I'm not in violation of any law or gentleman's agreement.  Let me know when you  are going to call the cops, I'll put on extra coffee.

As Paul Harvey used to say:  "And that's the rest of the story."
Why drag the AH community thru this.  There is no way for us to sort out the truth. We would have to already trust one of you to tell the truth.   Your cloak and dagger respones just in vite stone throwers.

You made it to look as if your a prik thats not paying for items you did recieve.  And if you did take your own sweet time in paying you are justified.  and the whole coach bit is just over the top.

YOu may be right heck how are we suppsoe to know?   But you come across as a Jerk.

Why drag the community through what?  I didn't start this thread. Cloak and dagger? I just didnt feel liek some of the posters deserved an explanation. As soon as someone asked an intelligent and relevant question I answered, it wasnt cloak and dagger.

So YOU decided to have Newegg ship to you overnight of your own volition.
Then, YOU decided to deduct the cost of shipping from the price YOU agreed upon with a private seller.

How you decided getting your parts 2 days sooner was worth $153 I'm not sure but it's your choice after all. You made that choice. He didn't.
How you decided that it was up to a third party to pay for your shipping because not everything arrived the second you wanted it to is going to have me pondering for some time to come.
How you can't see how you're being the bad human being in this is also beyond me. You're ripping someone off because things didn't go your way.

So while you claim to have paid him, you haven't. You've paid him a sum but not the sum agreed upon. Some $153 short as it appears.

Welcher.

It doesn't matter. This was the agreement.   Why the agreement was made shouldn't affect whether or not it should be kept. The pertinent reason it was a big deal that it arrived late is because I spent loot to get the other parts to arrive on the originally agreed date. I covered this.

I'm not directing this at you necessarily but I don't mind being vilified for this. Those who do find me at fault, have a poor grasp of the circumstances or are just plain stupid, and thus are beneath my concern.  And/or  I just plain don't like them, as in Shuffler's case.

I had newegg ship the parts on the agreed up n arrival day of the seller's parts. The seller didn't come through. I didn't deduct the 153 dollars. I can't help stupid, someone with more patience for the ignorant explain it to this tard.

Yes, I'm the tard. You're a model human being and above reproach on this issue.

Just a few more questions so that my infinitesimal intellect can grasp what is going on here. What price did you agree upon and how much did you actually pay him?

Steve, just because u don't like someone doesn't mean they aren't right.  That is basically the arguement that u r presenting to the ppl that have given u the best arguement so far.

"You may be right, but I don't like u so you are not right."

And who is the stupid one?  LOL

I paid him the agreed upon price... I've already stated that. in an earlier post... here:

I decided to that if he couldn't afford to send the stuff overnight, he probably could less afford to take the $154 dollar hit than I could,  so I decided  eat that and let things be bygones.
