I only saw the last four minutes of the game, but they were an exciting four minutes.  :x
This.
I was at the Stock Show all day and just caught the last 5 minutes. WOW!
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Going to repeat what I said on another board, but....

I don't have a dog in the fight (pun intended) but this game is probably the worst officiated games I have seen in a very long time.

NFL really needs to take a look at this game going forward and make changes in their refs if they keep blowing and missing calls like this poor display.

They have to seriously look at the consistency of officiating.  I have said it all year.

On the helmet to helmet, he'll be fined by the NFL.   But I don't believe players should be ejected, unless a players commits couple that are deliberate.   By the looks o f the Pierre Thomas one, it merely looked that both kept trying to get lower than the other.

IIRC if the player is acting in the capacity of a runner, you can contact another players helmet with your own.  It's the defenseless players ( rcv'rs at  the moment of the catch, QBs sliding in a baseball style) that you can't lead with the helmet.  Least ways this is how it has been all season.  IMO they wear helmets for a reason, the officials need to figure out which reason that is.  Is it like long hair hanging out from under the helmet (considered part of the uniform) and can be used or not.

The hit on Pierre Thomas WAS a helmet to helmet hit and should have been called, but the play resulted in a fumble and the Niners recovered so they still would have had the ball. They just would have been 15 yards further away from the end zone.

Incidental and he will get fined.  But as I said, they both were trying to get lower than the other and you get to a point where it gets ugly.

A Harbaugh team.  .   IMO the 49rs D is better than the Packers D. On the AFC side, if the Ravens offfense starts to play consistantly then they should be able to make a push for the playoffs and possibly the SB.
