I don’t get people that quit, well I do they quit.
This is a great game full of good people. If you were fighting AI the thrill would have gone a long time ago. Some of the stoke is;
Forming a loathing hatred for someone you have never met, but hate his call sign, the plane he flies or the way he flies. Then one day you have contact with him (change sides, PM etc.) – Hey he’s a pretty decent guy after all, then you <S> him from then on win lose or draw.
Being bored out of your brain until squaddies come on and then the games commence. You demean everything and everything about your squaddies and they you until you’re laughing like a ten year old again.
Apologising for a ram or that you resorted to a HO or got lucky. The PM exchange gets past the obvious and then you wish each other well chuck a <S> and move on.
Being so engrossed in a Country channel text discussion (insert squad or 200 there) that you wish you would never get to the “action” and regret not taking a buff out.
Realising most of the “names” are good people. They just do it better than you.
If you never know any of the above, you’re not getting it. It’s always the people, never graphics updates, new planes, taking bases or landing kills. Get past the modelling, unrealistic manoeuvres and “plane hate”.
I’ve never come into contact with anyone flying that hasn’t turned out to be OK.....in the end.
The essence of Aces High - make friends, then kill them.
