Even earlier -- 1980 for subLOGIC Flight Simulator on the Apple II.  I remember playing it and thinking, "Wow!  I can't believe we've entered the age of being able to have flight simulators in our own homes!"

I was on an Apple II as well.  Thought it was amazing to be able to "fly"

Before hard drives, there was F117, one 5 1/4 floppy to start the game, then insert second floppy to play. You could hit the edge of the virtual world and just......stop!

Oh yea, and I remember you ammo, but I thought you were still playing in early 05?  you helped me by allowing me to drag along with you on one of the old maps. I think I was Hard7 or A8hunter or something like that back then (I change names more than underwear) . <S> sir.
