:aok I moved my skins folder to the desktop, made a new one. Moved the AHDOWN.exe to the Aces High folder, ran it, and now skins are downloading as I type.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Works fine!
Plus that list definitely shows the planes in the order they were added into AH starting from the beta version. Cool ;)

I tried it but it didnt d/l any skins at all.  it just said it was d/l for like 2 seconds then it went away.

edit: tried it several times didnt d/l anything.

-removed the skin folder to desktop
-tried d/ler, it went thru the motions no skins anywhere.

another edit:  ok after the 5 or 6th time it actually started d/ling skins.

No problems here:

1) renamed old skin folder
2) made new empty skin folder
3) ran program from my AH folder
4) all skin downloaded just fine

Just a simple question for HTC.

Did not was more 'simple' to make a web page with each skin picture,
and the relative link for the download?

You would have to click on each skin you wished to download instead of all, 1 plane or 1 skin.

The updater also only downloads the skins you do not already have.

Worked fine for me, downloaded all new skins.  Thx.

On a semi-related note, I downloaded the game last night from the webpage download link because the in game downloader was going slow, and it rewrote my entire game.  Luckily I had a settings folder saved elsewhere, but I'm not sure why it rewrote my game.

Correct, but the question is still open - or not?   :O Why not a web page?  Perhaps I guess ... O.K.

Also, It does not show the picture of the skin.

Why do I download a skin if I cannot see its picture?  - so I tought to a web page but I think to know why You do not prefer this way.

Well It's fast, so We can download and view the skin.

Why not add this function inside of skin preview program?

Because of the resources that would be required to maintain it.
Also the updater is just a test bead for the downloading system that will migrate to AH. It will include much other content shortly like the terrains and any other items we wish.

Can't you use a image hosting website? I know less than you do, but I'm curious is all. It's free, and it's permanent. By "resources", do you mean every kB you add on the site means it'll cost you more?

Downloaded easy enough.  Tested easy enough.

Nice program.  This will be nice to have.   :aok

Oh, and can you smack Skuzzy on the back of the head and get him to approve and implement all those wonderful skins currently swinging in the breeze?  There are a lot of very nice new skins, especially new P30 skins waiting to be put in to the game.    :D   Thanks!   :aok

Is there any reason that it says "please select something to download" after you already run it once?  Or at this point is that it's message saying that you have already downloaded all of the available skins?
