Rescue downed airmen

It would be cool if there was a way you could pick up a friendly pilot who successfully bailed or ditched an airplane. If you were able to land a multi-seated aircraft (or boat if in water) within a short distance of the downed airman and request a join, (like gunning), the downed player could recover more points than if he got captured or ditched. It would be nice if the rescuing pilot could pick up some points too.

It would be a nice addition to the mission of the Storch.

The points are based on where the airplane landed not the pilot.  a pilot that is brought back to base but left his airplane on a ditch in the middle of nowhere doesnt really deserve more points.

and for the record you could get more points most of the time by upping another airplane and shoot something than waiting for somebody to go pick you up.  your "saved" points may actually cost you more unless you are rescued next to the runway.

and if the rescuer is to get points, I can just imagine people upping and ditching right next to runway while a guy just rolls a few feet, picks up pilot, then ends flight, easy perks and points.

I agree

Forget about the score aspect, it would just be fun. And if it worked similarly to a join request (requiring proximity to a landed plane/stationary vehicle perhaps) it wouldn't involve a huge amount of extra work to implement
Did you see my dad on dogfights yet?
I'll be seeing you face to face possibly next month.
