At one point i was a lone Spit14 at about 28k over the 102 to 103 area, and had 5 or so 190s scaring the hell out of me, and i think a 109K4, i started to fight a couple of them, and luckily some P47 jumped it, a little later i had a good 1 on 1 with a 190D around 102, where i lost part of my stabilizer, was very fun all in all
This D9 might have been me ALFA, I also had a good fight with a spit14 around that area.  :devil

Quick question did this D9 make a mistake of letting you 400 out on six?

If so It was me I really underestimated that Spit14 at 28k.

Uhh yes! there were multiple times that i ended up at 400 out in the 102/103 area on a 190D, problem was i couldnt tell where my tracers were going the clouds were so greyish white  :frown:, it was crazy going from 12 boost to 28 boost with WEP lol, it definitley could move up there, but was outclassed in turning at that altitude  :uhoh

I had the same problem with the tracers. Might have done a lot more damage on some snapshots if I could have corrected.

Alfa, you need to practice more at high altitude. The Spit14 totally out-classes the Dora at that altitude. What you have to get a handle on (and most AH players don't), is that Indicated Air Speed is the thing to watch. Every fighter can get into stall trouble at high altitude. At 28k, the 190D's turning circle is huge. The Spit14's turning circle is nearly 1/3 less. You can practice in the TA (there's a 30k base with an air spawn) or offline.

Speed MIL power...

Speed WEP power...

Climb WEP power...

We needed ya that last time we got bounced when we were climbing out heavy. If you hadn't been there, our whole flight would've been wiped out. You and I were the only ones who flew away from that fight in basically one piece.
