BOB without it is seriously hampered
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

Have you ever stepped foot in the SEA during an event?

Yes, tho not recently. Seeing 20 to 30 players involved kinda prevents me from going in. Sometimes I see even less then that, and I do check.

Hey this isnt a put down. No more then saying the sun rises is a put down. Historical recreation missions is a favorite part of the game for me. But that almost never happens anymore either unless its all American iron.

Ever since I been playing this game (5 yrs) I have saw people ask for the HE-111. What I always wonders is why the HE-111 was not the very first German bomber modeled for this game. Not having the HE-111 is a lot like still waiting for an ME-109. Maybe there is a reason with the 111s modeling I don't know about or some other technical problem.

Since special events arent especially popular ...

<shrug> The 330+ folks who show up every Friday for FSO might disagree with you.

A-26

Back in 2007 this was a list that Pyro put up for a vote. The He-111 made it to the 2nd round.
Since then they have added a few which are in bold. No telling what the CM’s would request, but I know the He-111 would be a popular choice for the events community especially since the Battle of Britain is a popular theatre and time period that is played several times a year.

We need everything on this list minus the bold :)

Thats usually the population of the LWA, or close to it. And I dont see to many leaving LWA on Fridays, "course Im usually not on late".

Hey bro, Im all for Historical recreations. I think they are the cats rear end. We used to have magnificent ones organized by players in LWA on Sundays way back when.

I just want my fracking Soviet bomber. :pray After that I'll be happy with anything coming down the pipe.

Seeing as the Ju88 carries more, flies faster, and climbs better, and is better armed to defend itself than the He-111, it is very much unrepresentative for early war scenarios. You may claim it's old and weak, sure, but you put it up against Spit Mk.I and Hurr Mk.I and it turns out to be too much for them to handle.

So, yes it is obsolete and "weak" -- but it is vitally needed, along with other early war planes. I'd love a G3M Nell and a Ki-21 Sally as well.

I think the G4M stands in well enough for the G3M and Ki-21 to not worry about those for a long time.  There are much bigger gaps.

True enough that the G4M can stand in for the G3M, but not so much the Ki-21. There are plenty of slower, older, more vulnerable bombers that only had a handful of 7mm guns for defense that are needed. While the G4M is mincemeat for later planes, it's still somewhat high flying and fast flying for the early stuff. Plus the Ki-21 could fill in for a number of other early planes, too. Soviet, Italian, British, etc.

HE177!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 this before any other (non-variant) LW bomber, in my opinion.

It is an unrepresentative piece of crap.  The Do217E or Ju188A would be a much better addition.

Much as I'd love the Ju-188 (believe me, I've wanted it for ages!) I think the He-111 has to be first.

Sure, He111 is a big gap, but the guy I was responding to was asking for the He177.
