Hey all,

Well had my first few live sorties. Crashed and burned on all but one without a kill but even with that I love this game. The main reason I love it is the people that play it. I've mainly been circling aerodromes getting the hang and going to hot spots to see if I can get my first kill. Slowly getting used to the controls and flying my spit with minimal stalling! Had a moment when I thought I would get my first kill on a B17 only to miscue it and fly across the back of them taking the full wrath of the tail gunner!!

What makes it better is when someone talks to you to ask you to do something. Most often I tell them I'm a rookie and 9 times out of 10 I get the same response: 'no problem, let me know if I can help'. Really feel welcome and will definitely be subscribing after my trial! Hoping to hit the training area soon but hard to arrange a meet in there with my job but will come together at some point.

I would say concerning the TA, It is not a Book only arena. Pop in and just ask if anyone can help out. It is not only the Trainers who can help. As you have found out a lot of the players will help out where they can, so just by asking, you may get the response you are wanting.
Be patient though, it is not a short journey. This is not an arcade game. As you are finding out, it will take a long time to be able to go out on sorties and get kills. But be patient, and it will come!

you can choose the country you want to fly with when your in the tower, bring up your clipboard and hit oclub you'll have the option of changing countries in there. default for the game is bishops if memory serves me correctly.

Congrats on your first kills! 

You can change the country you fly for in the O'club. Just click "O'Club" on your clipboard and then click "Change country". It's always fun to fly for different countries to get to know some of the people you fly against.

  190s are timid,they do that..... its the only way they can get kills

Stay knights they are more talkative and will check your six.

The others countires will steal your kills and not talk to you

Its character building flying in Knights because we never win any maps

Training arena saves me a lot of time when testing airplanes because of the airstarts at some fields.

Some fields in the training arena have the full planeset and will airstart you at 20k......but air or ground start depends on which direction you select for takeoff.

You are from the UK so you have to have a 1950's or 1960's comedy legend in your avatar

Norman Wisdom or Benny Hill are free to use as a Avatar
