Actually during 1944 during the war it was hit or miss if the Luftwaffe would actually show up.

Many many accounts of relieveing the fighters of escort duty and letting them shoot up the Luftwaffe

What edge did "we" give them?  I thought in your other post all of your planes outclassed ours?  Is this simply laying the foundation in advance for the reason you lost?

You get to up twice over your homeland.  We get that option but it will be useless to fly back to the bombers.

So we have to shoot down 400 fighters, not 200
