my next sportscar i want is a vette, newer model. I love the oldest models, nothing from early 70's until these newer styles.

 see in that first video? if it was a ford or chevy, i'd assume that they lit up the tires, considering it looked like only 1/8 mile....but since we know it'd a dodge.......we know blown engine from that smoke.  :devil :neener:

Long ago I had a sound only recording of firin up the Duster when she was tunnel rammed with the big cam in her .. used it for startup sound byte for my computer for years.

Got no idea where the recording went to, lost in a computer rebuild and the cassette tape disappeared in one of my many moves :(

-Frank aka GE (reminds me .. I should get a Go-Pro an do some vids of the Vette .. she makes such beatiful music off a lite :)

A few of the ACE (Arizona Corvette Enthusiasts) guys run that whenever it's up.

S'funny readin the text about the driver 'hanging back to see his line' ..
..they do not allow passing in the corners,
..it's not a 'race' .. it's an event to let people get to know their cars a bit.

I haven't run there yet as the car just isn't up for it yet (old tires-brakes)
.. may never do so as there are rumors that Firebird may be closing due to tribes not extending their lease (it runs out next year)
Seems they want to build a casino there ..LOL.

One of the guys has an Atom ..was givin rides around there .. damn fast go-cart :)

Oh ..and they sold every last one of those vettes ..they're gone. Can still get a deal from Kerbecks .. but it's a bit more.
