Sandy is over rated. Huge storm, but not nearly what they were building it up to be.
I guess always better to be over cautious. Power went out her (South Jersey) for 2 hrs.
Back on already:) Hope it stays.

Damn bailey! No actually we've only had the power go out twice for short periods of time! Winds outside roughly 10-20 max, rain has been moderate all day, Im expecting it to hit us much harder/get here later tonight or tomorrow however. stay safe buddy  :pray  :salute

Lights flickered a few times for me, but no outages. Watching the wind outside 60mph gusts I'm surprised it hasn't gone out yet.

Where are you mbailey? If the rain keeps up tonight like it's supposed to, no doubt my basement is going to flood too.

Well if it does fill with water at least theres equal pressure on the basement walls. That is of course if the ground outside is as saturated.

Ugly deal anyway a person looks at it.

I have to deliver a load near Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning. This could be interesting. That's right after the storm center has passed.
Gonna make sure I have plenty of fuel to get back out if there's no power.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

We lost power last night around 9 as we got home from picking up a few necessities at KMart.  Plenty of candles and blankets got us through the night but will be grabbing some ice and begin filling coolers at lunch break today.  I don't expect power to be restored for a few days.

Of course work has power..... :furious
