I didn't see the Pontiac sticker. The blue block was the key. I owned a Trans Am! Starlight Black too! Bought it new in 1978 From Wilson Pontiac in Youngstown Ohio Sept of 78.
For that time it was great. Sticker price was 6800 dollars. They'd already gone through the HP degradation. It was a 400 cu in (6.6 on the shaker)
Nice choice Stampf! You just slid by!
I'll always be MOPAR but I did enjoy the T/A. Hell I was married at the time, I was lucky to own a bicycle.
I agree with Skuzzy....69 was the year. Challengers came out in 1970 so they could be ordered in 69. I still have my roots though in the early to mid 60s
Mopar lightweights and the sleepers with 426 max wedge Plymouths etc. It was breathtaking to see the early Hemis (426 1964 and up) run at the track.
Nothing sounds like a Hemi. Sorta like hearing a flyby of a Mustang, you don't have to see it, just hear it and you know it's a P51.
