Coming in to clear 'DnGlBerrY' or whatever the hell his name is, tater the spit16 (twice?) both of his wings come off, you can even click on his name and follow him into the ground --- but no kill ???

I saw no one else within even 1K of him, you can see solid tater hits, he hits the ground...but no kill if you follow the chat ... What happened here? I don't care about the kill or anything, I am just really curious lol

(And for anyone who's wondering if he Alt F4'd and I needed to wait another min or 2 for the kill, I was flying for another 3 - 6+ mins before I died

Super mega lag? I killed a plane before, saw him blew up and everything, didn't get the kill message until about 2 minutes later. I've also had planes take tater hits and nothing happens, big flashes of orange, keeps on flying, but then usually 1 ping from the MGs blow up the plane (I assume it's something like tater does 99% damage, the MG does 1% and "breaks" the plane). So maybe you just really unlucky and had both cases of super mega lag and dud taters at the same time?

I cant watch it atm.... but it may have been my lag effected everyone around.....been having some super warps lately.

No, look he went torpedo mode, lost both wings and hit the ground

This happens to me sometimes. One guess is he was PW before you attacked and the game treated that like he was already dead.

It's another frustration I'm having with the 30mm again. Like when we had dud taters.

I tatered an f6f the other night and he kept on flying normal. We figured out that my tater had damaged an empty fuel tank. ;/

Double click his plane, you can sit in his seat, no visual damage, no guns out, etc. and even if he was PW or something and someone else got the kill...wouldn't 2 taters taking both wings off warrant an assist at least? o.O

Your film doesn't record his views. I don't think it will show if he's pw either. And if the game thinks he's already dead, it doesn't assign your damage. This is something fairly new that prevents kill stealing. It's a bug whatever it is.

It used to show a pilot wound from the other pilots view but I don"t know if it does now after the damage model change.

I had a strange one like that but my brother flying with me got a kill on a spit that he had not engaged when the spit I shot went down.

I wonder if it is a bizarre coincidence like the spit being shot at was shot by ground fire a split second before the tater hit the plane.  In my case my brother got the kill because he was closer to airport ak.
