I understand that man, I understand that it annoys a lot of players also. For me, I play the game because I like the fantasy that I am a fighter pilot in WWII. That's what attracted me to the game and above all other motives for me continuing to subscribe it is what keeps me here. Yes, I like down and dirty dogfights that have no relation to real life engagements. But I also like encountering someone who is terrified of being killed and runs half a mile when they see me. I also take a perverse pleasure in the fact that just my opening defencive move has watermelon them up so badly that they don't even want to be in the same sector as me.

 People wanting to stay alive is the epitome of realism for me in the main arena. Likewise, encountering someone reckless and hellbent on destroying me no matter what else happens is also highly realistic. It takes all types to make a great game like aces high just as it took all types to join the air force and do this stuff for real back in the day. Encountering only one mindset in the arena would destroy my fantasy world.
