I didn't say "this game" -- and besides it's rather self evident. Achievements are a sad waste of HTC's efforts and lower the quality of the game ever-so-slightly simply by existing.

Just flew with the new update.  Not happy.

Had three kills in the LW MA, and *immediately* after each one, ended up with a "host connection lost" disco.

Have to admit that the re-connect inflight *did* work, but boy, is *this* gonna fubar the FSO.

In my opinion achievements have had no impact at all, good or bad, on Aces High's reputation.  Almost all modern games, no matter how "serious" they are or what platform they run on have achievements.  I can't think of any game I've bought in the last three years that hasn't had achievements and at least one other older game I play has added them as well.

 Almost all modern games, no matter how "serious" they are or what platform they run on have achievements.  

Achievements have pretty much been a staple of MMO's since EQ, it's really nothing new in the PC MMO genre.

Please research other game-type thingies that people will like so more will subscribe to your game.  That will give me more people to shoot at and you will make more money. Win-win.
