You stand on you believe and I along with many others stand on what we experience.
BTW so you know I tried using Win8 for aprox a month and a half and i got so frustrated with it I changed back to Win7 Ultimate which ran smoother and made my gaming experience much better. BTW Win8 did not recognize the USB3 on my MB where as WIN7 did?? Why??

LOL! You're posting articles from pre-release beta
And even that had practically no problems whatsoever. This quote sums it up quite nicely:
I think it's nothing short of a miracle that nearly all of my Windows 7 applications and drivers work right out of the gate. Microsoft's legacy support is spot on, even in this early pre-beta release of Windows 8. However, there is a small portion of programs and drivers that just won't work, due to the fact that Windows 8's version number jumped from 6.1 (Windows 7) to 6.2 and some installers' version checks simply refuse to run.
The ZDNet didn't even have anything to do with Win8 per se but the devices it was sold on. What did you do, just pick the article by the title and not bother to even read it? Just admit it, you're dead stuck on opposing Win8 without knowing that it actually works just fine.
The PC world article said Windows 8 was _faster_ with games albeit by a small margin roflol. The point that secuRom games no longer work is not a Win8 issue but the stupidity of the SecuRom rootkit makers who haven't updated their invasive rootkit to mess up Win8, at least yet. Solution is simple: Don't mess your OS by installing SecuRom, period. If you're desperate to play your hard earned copy of the legacy game you can a) Complain to the company (they'll laugh at you) or b) Risk and download a cracked .exe without the securom (works wonders). Of course the latter option poses an extremely high risk of getting infected in the process. But if you're
desperate.Quote from the article you posted:
Bottom line
When it comes to the normal PC-gaming experience I expect, Windows 8 delivers. However, after running a dozen or so games, I did encounter some minor issues, as I noted earlier. Older games may have problems, particularly those titles that use obsolete, driver-level DRM schemes. Current-generation games should mostly be problem-free.
I would have used those same links to talk in favor of Win8
Your USB3 no longer works with Win8? Complain to your hardware provider or search for updated drivers. NOT a Win8 issue once again.
