« on: February 20, 2013, 06:14:36 PM »

It's for game play concessions and it's not unfair.  I take it that you were bombed by someone that used the rearm pad and are now upset by it and want it removed?

its unrealistic

The rearm pad itself is unrealistic. The ability to kill ALL ords on a field by strafing 'bunkers' with a single fighter is unrealistic. One bomber shutting down flight operations by destroying all hagars is unrealistic. As is having them pop back up after just 15 minutes.

I am pretty sure hitech made it that way just so i can rocket vulch al those planes in the rearm pad.  still trying to break my record of 5 kills at the same time.

there are lots of unrealistic things in game but
The rearm pad itself is unrealistic.
yes it is we should leave it but when ords are down only make fuel refilling  enabled

In other words you are using 'realism' selectively just as it suits you?  :)

You are asking to remove a feature exclusively on grounds of being "unrealistic", but you are not willing to apply the same rationale to other features.

Thus you are using 'realism' selectively. Just as it happens to suit you.

Tracer the fact that the rearm pad exists is unrealistic, sure planes were turned around and reloaded but not in 30 seconds(AFAIK).

I don't know this Tracerfi guy, but you guys sure are hammering him pretty hard on a fairly logical request...

If ordnance is down at an airfield, then it makes sense that there are no ords for the re-arm pad to supply from.   :headscratch:

I personally don't care if HTC changes it or not, but why all the hostility?

I think it sort of balances out in a way.

That particular player took the effort of not getting damaged/pilot wounded/dying etc through out his sortie and then for 30sec while sitting still at anyones mercy. As such he is allowed a perk of being able to rearm. You don't want him to rearm? Then shoot him down.

I personally wouldn't mind rearm pads removed, but only after the ammo bunkers are made into real bunkers and are twice as tough as the hangars to take down. I mean seriously, would give much needed purpose to the AP/SAP w/e new type of ordinance being included.

I quite like the landing, taxying and reloading. Then taxying and taking off. Its something I enjoy doing and adds a little more depth rather than landing wheels up to stop quickly like a lot do.
