Sadly a lot of my artistic skill is crippled by my lack of memory. All of my art is made up on the fly, and usually changes multiple times before I'm finished. Luckily skinning is different since I have to recreate something using existing images. Anyway, here is one of the pics I did manage to finish.

That was all rendered out using GIMPs plugins and filters with the exception of the lake and the mountains, both of which I'm not completely happy with. Never could get the mountains to look right so I just threw a shadow on them and said "Eh..."

This is the kind of art I prefer to do:

first pic is very cool, second one........a nightmare :rofl

try to do a couple plasma clouds, desaturate and mess with the mode of the layers for the mountains...then reflect it on the water.

You would be correct, tis a power supply. It's for an ongoing project that I never really intend on finishing. I use it as more of a way to get experience when I want to try something new in the trade. That pic is the first go at using a switch mode supple, the second attempt is underway right now. I have some pics of the various parts in development, I'll make another thread and throw them up when I find them.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that out. Glad I saved the original layered image to  :D

Zacherof,

You guessed correctly.  It is my take on a Japanese KI-44 shoki.  Trying to UV unwrap it now and try my hand at texturing and painting it.  Since I have rarely done UV unwrapping and texturing this will take time.  But aircraft is a love of mind, not surprising flying aces high and using this forum.  So I model aircraft a lot.  The last post was an animation of the landing gear I did and for some reason it displays shortened width wise giving it that "fat" look.

Regards,

BSB
I've noticed there's one nut that seems to fly a 39 and actually get kills in it. I'm not sure what's wrong with them...

Thanks Zach, its a navy blue wash really watered down over the natural wood (Bass) on the top and over a cream coloured wash on the bottom, which gives it a tri coloured look over the whole side of the fish. I usually carve Salmon and use either a red oxide wash or an avacado green wash.

I've posted some of these before, but I'll put one or two up now.  I'm mostly a pencil/charcoal guy, but sometimes I do some pen and ink work.  Lately I've been trying to learn to use a digital tablet as well.

A quick, no erasing sketch of Lincoln I did a while back...

An in progress cell phone pic of my ex girlfriend's daughter.  She's got the finished one, so no scan of the final image until she calms down at me somewhat...

A drawing I made from a famous dustbowl photograph.  Came out nicely I think.

Albert Einstein.

Like Ink, I've been an artist my whole life, he just has a much larger range of mediums than I do!  Ink is awesome btw, no question!

Thanks alot Ink, means alot coming from an artist as talented as you! Ive always wanted to try tattooing but I think Ill stick to my wood and acrylic. Madda, awsome skills, so much life in your drawings. Its great to see such talented folks here, working in so many different mediums.  to each and every one!

Nice stuff Carver, especially the Steelhead. Just curious, what do you charge for something like that?

And Madda, your Einstein is fantastic so far.  :aok
