Believe I got into a great 1v1 my d25 vs a 110   (Hub V Surfinn)  Ended up a stalemate low and slow.  I think it always goes back to the pilots.  Performance wise it seemed the planes were to close to make or break the deal....

The 110 series plane is one of my favorite planes.  I am not the greatest pilot but I agree that flying at 28-30k and look for a fight against other fighters.  Though I don't win all my fights those facing me will know they have been in a fight and I have shot down a number of players who are good pilots.  The 110's are seriously underestimated when fighting them at high alts.

I once flew a Spit IX to a stalemate in a 110G-2 in a low and slow one-on-one that must have lasted 5 minutes or more.  It wasn't because I out-turned him though, it was because I out-flew him.

How the heck did you manage a 1 on 1 for five minutes without either of you getting gang banged?  Must have been in the TA or DA.

Off-peak hours, it's more common than you think.

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Even more common during off peak hours, flying to a field to start a fight but people hop in ack guns instead.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

110's are good turners when light.  Most of the time you see them with too much fuel and they are easy kills.  I have personally been in a 2 v 1 both 109's.  I had one return about 4 times.  I won all 5 engagements.  They were heavy and slow and I was light and slow and on top of my game that day.  If you use drops and 25% and have a few buddies in the area you can make it home.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

Follow the red bardars.  Sometimes they ack  hug sometimes they fight.

Nope.  Neither one.  It was LW prime time (well, probably around 9:00 PM Central) on the big map with all the water and islands.  The fight happened on the island N of the v-base island on the SW corner of the map between the S airfield and the port on the E side of the island.  I'm not sure why but no one intruded.

I had a similarly long fight on the big pinwheel map by one of the v-bases in the NW corner one day.  I was in a JU-87 and held off a P-38 and I think it was a P-51D for almost five minutes before two friendlies arrived and allowed me to escape.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

This thread would be slightly more worth commenting on if a model of 110 had at least been mentioned once....
