I'm not sure how the two tie together here. That's very unfortunate about 4prop, but at the same time I don't know anything about him myself and I'm sure others don't as well. However, as with all wounded servicemen and women, I wish for a good recovery. I don't think Zacherof has tried to do/say anything here that's disrespectful though. I remember being young and worrying about going to Cali and if the "big one" would happen while I was vacationing, now compare that with living there. If I recall correctly Zach here is still in high school, and probably is in science classes (along w/peers) that are forced to discuss/study this stuff.
I completely agree with you, being in an earthquake is no laughing matter, and whilst being at the mercy of one nothing will be funny. I've been in one worth mentioning. However, the preoccupation with a matter as such is probably more the fun part about being young. Maybe all of us grown up should have days where we change our focus every hour, might do us some good. Cubicles kill, I used to love being a comp. tech going from job to job, interacting with new ppl every few hours and working on a different problem with unique circumstances.
Zacherof, nothing abnormal/wrong...continue about, continue being young. Couple more years and you'll have
things (insert better word) to worry about that take up much more of your freedom, enjoy it!
