I guarantee some people won't accept his apology simply because of his race.  I get it.  Tsk Tsk
Seriously spek? Lol... no one has said anything about his race, it's because of his actions people won't believe him. IE. Look at my above post.

Other than accidentally stepping on a flag what has he done that compares to this?  Just curious.

I never said he did anything that compares to this, what I said was it doesn't appear to be accidental in any way.. and I explained why already.

As distasteful as some may find his actions, they are protected by the First Amendment. If more folks would actually take out the Constitution and Bill of Rights and read them once in awhile you'd know this.
But that's okay. You guys write to your congressmen and tell them about it. I'm sure those caring soles in D.C. will be more than willing to add free speech and expression to the list of rights we don't need, want or like anymore.

bad news, those rights were taken away with the e.r.a...as well as a few other federal and state statutes that have been passed since. we don't have the right to voice or express our displeasure for anything more than spoiled milk without fear of persecution by the law. yet some "citizens" (and i use the term loosely) feel they can act with impunity because they are specifically protected by said laws.

oh if we could only speak our minds...
We can...and so can Lil Wayne. I hope this is one of the reasons you joined the corp for. Surely you didn't agree to fight for this country just because you liked the food and wonderful camo covers of the United States Marine Corp.

Stand on the sidelines and say what you want but if the man apologized why keep going?  Doesn't make sense...  I see your point on how you interpret it.  Just doesn't match mine.

The rights we're speaking of are God given rights in my opinion and the opinions of our founding fathers. Therefore no man can take them from us, no matter how many laws or statutes they make or pass. I wish more people understood this. The problem is, is that most folks don't care until it affects them directly....

I don't like what he did either. But for a free republic to work correctly it must be tolerant of people just like this. If we're not, then we're no better than Communist China or North Korea. Boycott his music and cuss him out on YouTube, but don't take a persons right to express himself for next time it may be you that wants to make a statement.

anthony sowell apologized too...does his apology lessen the impact of his actions? because he voiced the words, does that mean he was actually sincere?

lol, sorry but, the only "God given rights" are to live, procreate and die. everything else is the fallacy of human imagination and desire.

what's really funny is this thread is going to get locked just because of all the political talk...  :lol

I know. It'd be nice if we could have a place to have friendly debates on such things.

I drop my flag sometimes, but i pick it up. When i was young and filled with rage and anger i would wipe my bloody knuckles with my flag, and put it back into my wallet. I use to carry around multiple flags just so i could hand them out to fellow Americans i dubbed as worthy.

How many times during the civil war alone...do you think flags were burned, shot, cut, drenched in blood & mud? You know why it doesn't matter? BECAUSE THERE WAS A AMERICAN STILL THERE TO PICK IT BACK UP!! Same reason this little act shouldn't upset you.  :salute :rock

Honestly its my flag, ill do with it as i dang well please. Remember this is America, you have the right to say whatever you want, and i have the right to punch you in the teeth if i don't like it.  :rock
