BTW, at the risk of some ribbing from this community;  UFO's, ghosts, and other manner of legendary unproven creatures do exist. I believe it just as I know the sun rises in the west :bolt:

second story

We went back to the same area the following year again squirrel hunting. Again we had three days two nights without problems of any sort. On the the Third night some of us went rabbit shining again. We went to a area called the half moon, It had a trail that was very straight across the top, that intersected a low trail that ran a half circle back to it. The top trail was up hill from the low trail which ran beside a low creek area. We got about half way across the top of the trail with no game in sight and one of the grownups decided we should cut downhill through the bush to the downhill side of the trail. Oh there were three Firefighters and again two teens. We got about halfway down this very slight down hill slope when we came across a old trap with the skeleton of a raccoon in it. While we were standing there looking at that something massive walked up on us just behind some under brush and stopped within 10 ft of us. All the men and us kids had our guns aimed at the sound. One of the adults called out and said show yourself or we will fire. We stood there for about 10 mins in what felt like a stand off. Finally the adults in the party started talking about backing out and getting back to the high trail. They talked about who would take the rear and who was on the front and put me and the other teen between them on the way back up to the trail. The moment we hit the main trail this moan came from the same area we were in that was well just weird. We stayed the next day had a good day of hunting and one of the guys retrieved the old trap we had found the night before. I turned in early that night and was told the next day that we were leaving. Asked my dad why we were leaving early and couldn't get a straight answer. But we were out of the woods by midday, and that traditional hunting site was never again used as the hunting spot for the 7 day trip by that Fire department.

Had a encounter with that thing when I was a young teen on a hunting trip with several firefighters.
Wanted to see if there where any stories you might have relating to that subject?  I will share my rather lengthy story later in this thread.
A thread about getting a sasquatch into the game a few years ago, to prevent spawn camping.

I did. I moved to FL in 1999. Did a lot of hunting in the McHenry area. I used to live in Lyman MS which has been annexed by Gulfport now.
Me and a bud were Hunting in Mchenry, camped close to a branch but on high ground. We were sitting around the camp fire just talking about where to hunt the next day when this very loud crashing sound started to happen in the distance. It was obvious something was running straight at our camp both of us grabbed guns went to the opposite side of the camp fire. The sound just kept getting louder and louder until this very small doe almost a fawn ran into the camp and narrowly missed running over the fire. Scared the hell out of us, we laughed our tail off in nervous laughter. Then the thought occurred of humm I wonder what was chasing it :rofl Could have been anything lots of coyote tracks in that area but it was still weird. Deer had to be terrified to run into a camp like that.

Flench you ever see any Honey bears on your hunts?

Returning from a hunting trip in the forest, My  family's car hits an animal in the road. At first we feared it was a man, but when we examined the "body" we find it's a "bigfoot". We thought it was dead so we decided to take it home (there could be some money in this..). As you guessed, "it" isn't dead. Far from being the ferocious monster we feared "Harry" to be, he's a friendly giant. In our attempts to keep Harry a secret, We had to hide him from the authorities and a man, who has made it his goal in life, to catch a "bigfoot".

Man, I LIVE in bigfoot country.. Everyone I know, has spent their lives, either living or working, in the woods, in the Pacific NW.. NO ONE, has seen hide nor hair of the thing.. EVER!

Believe me, if they had, there would be no more Mystery..
Because it would be strapped over the hood of somebodies Jeep!

Mite of been a UFO ? Now I have seen one of those up close . No lie got a best friend that seen it with me . Good thing I did not have a gun I would have shot at it .

Flench, why would you want to shoot at something which you could not identify?

We can identify once it's dead. Merica!

I never saw one my self but saw bear sign once by the Big Biloxi river east of hwy49. Deep claw marks 6+ feet up a old oak tree and prints in the sand by the river close by. The older guys called them Honey bears saying they were black bears but with a brownish colored coat. Then again it could have been a subspecies that isn't supposed to exist in the state like the large black cats :D

Ok so far you have my encounters. You have flench who had two 150lb dogs ripped up with guts hanging in the trees at a level of 6'. Flench does not think it was Bigfoot but cant find a explanation for what killed his dogs. So if ya have a story and have been reading the thread please step forward with it. People will always doubt what they don't see or experience for themselves.
