Very right. And so much fun. Massive waves of JU88's, tracers everywhere, water splashing up, torps in the water, and ships sinking. Be neat if HTC added damage to the ships so they would smoke and burn some before they sink.
Also somebody must have been asleep at the wheel because both those CVs were off the coast for at least 10mins and I dont recall any planes launching from either carrier, even after we started the attack.
It was just too cool, flying 50ft off the deck at 150mph, avoiding ack and dropping those little fishes in the water.
Stuff like last night makes me wish we could have just CV battles with a couple of islands, semi-recreate Midway or Phillipines.
Imagine each side would have 4-5 CVs and no radar, just send out search planes and find the enemy CVs and launch TBM attacks with F6Fs for cover against the IJN fleets, we got the Zero and the George just need a japanese torpedo bomber and have at it.
