My mistake Reaper,I quoted the wrong post!

I'm not sure of the name but it's a Saturn model and it's a rebadged opel.

Ford built the crown vic/marquis and the last of the towncars nearby,I worked at the plant years ago.

i thought bugatti did some mods to the veyron, and outran the venom?

http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/hennessey-venom-gt-top-speed-265mph-2013-04-03

The Veyron SuperSport hit 268 over a 4+ mile run.

The Venom GT hit 265.7 in under 2 miles.

However because production versions of the Veyron SS are electronically limited to 258, the Venom now holds the record for production cars.  Even though it's a technicality it is a moot point as the Venom had a much shorter run.  If you watch the video of the Venom record run;  the driver missed a shift and still hit 267... and when he lifted because he was out of room it was still pulling hard.  I've no doubt that if Hennessey had access to the same 5 mile straight that Bugatti does the Venom would hit 280 with ease.

Also the Venom GT now holds the record for 0-300kph acceleration @ 13.63s

http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/hennessey-venom-gt-world-record-0-300kmh-2013-01-14

The difference is all in the power/weight and the Venom GT is much, much lighter.

Veyron SS:  1,200bhp - 4,052lbs. = 1hp/3.37 lbs

Venom GT:  1,244bhp - 2,743lbs.  = 1hp/2.2 lbs.

The Venom GT doesn't have the luxury and sophistication of the Veyron, but it is a speed monster.

You'd have to be one hell of a crazy bastard to get into a car and fly down a 5 mile track at 280 MPH.

The Veyron would be so much better if it wasn't built for luxury and more for performance.

So you had a good 5 grand to throw out on 2 cop cars? Possible, but I saw an alien last week. He tried to steal my cookie jar.

You say you also got 13k out of an '07 F150?

Bull. They didn't even go for 13k at the dealership brand-spankin-new. KBB says that at perfect condition with low mileage the F-150 would go for 8.8k max at a dealership. No way anyone was retarded enough to give you 13k for an '07 F150.

http://www.kbb.com/ford/f150-regular-cab/2007-ford-f150-regular-cab/xl-pickup-2d-8-ft/?condition=excellent&vehicleid=349449&intent=buy-used&options=4161516%7ctrue%7c4161544%7ctrue%7c4161546%7ctrue&pricetype=retail

Btw rallying in a diesel isn't the worst thing you can do. Having much more torque/power will help a hell of alot more than not having it in the mud and sand.

Have you ever watched a rally race? People do bring diesels to them.
who said I had 5 in cop cars!? Lmao bought the black 98 for 600$ painted it my self and sold it to a friend of mine for 2500 1 year later bought my white one  (2006) for 2300 and sold it for 3500. Bought my 04 f150 and sold it for profit sold my snomobile and got my 07 truck off a family friend for a good deal I couldn't pass up.

Only car given to me was a 02 f250 7.3 that sank and was totaled out. Never was given a car after that.

Now your story has gone to total BS. 13k for an '04 F150 is horsecrap. You wouldn't even get that out of a 2010 model. The best you could get out of an '04 F150 is about 5-7k, in perfect condition with low miles.

What about the cost of insurance on those cop cars? It had to be at least 4k a year for the '06 model and 2k for the '98. What about gas and maintenance? I bet that costed quite a bit too. About 1-3k a year depending on how you drive.

Who payed for insurance on all of those cars? Had to be expensive. I know that you cant possibly be making 20 bucks an hour on a part time job to pay for all of that.

didn't take long to find a 2010 f150 for well over what you think it can't get. you need to look before you speak.

Is that what he's getting or is that what he's asking?

Lets check KBB.

Right here, yes you would get 13k for a used 2010 pickup but that's only at low mileage, high quality and very few problems. Not easy to come by if you're in the northern half of the U.S. where cars rust a lot faster than those down in the lower half.

Blue book value or black book or whatever is not anything to go by, once you have bought enough cars you will understand, I have found that cars are almost always listed higher than BB value, and if someone I was selling my car to said I was charging to much because BB said so I would tell them to Gtfo

Or you could explain to him that black book offers an excellent reference point but the numbers there represent wholesale/trade in values and not retail values..

this. i was told i was asking way too much when i sold my s10. i told them to pound sand. i got my asking price. i was told the same thing with my mystique, my 79f150, and my 68 mustang. yet not a single one of them had a clue.

I did not mean for it to be mean or rude, I am just slightly jaded, as I only buy RHD vehicles, and a lot of 16 year olds have come to tire kick and they have absolutely no clue what they are buying, IE when I went to sell my 92 Skyline GTR, with a stroker kit a large single turbo and a brand new top end,  the kid came back at my 17 000 dollar asking price saying he talked to someone and they told him GTR's are only worth 10, which is true if your buying it straight from the auction house in japan, but not so much for a 600hp well cared for monster, so car price is determined by many different variables skorpx1, I apologise if it came off as being rude

and as for CAP1, with the above GTR, I ended up getting luck and finding 2 people who wanted it very bad, so I ended up getting 20 grand when all was said and done, its all about finding people who know and appreciate a perfect car

Prob spent 1800-2k on gas. I did my own oil changes so that was cheap and easy.
