Beep beep!
« on: September 06, 2013, 06:54:18 PM »
I was chatting with some other players in the Late War Main earlier today and the subject of cars came up. I later offered to post some pics of my 71 Plymouth Roadrunner so here they are. For those who were not in there, she is an all matching numbers 383 4speed car with 38,600 original miles.

Thanks. But it's not plum crazy. It is actually genuine Chrysler deep amethyst pearlcoat from 1998. I used to work for Chrysler at the assembly plant level and when I saw this color coming off the end of the line, I knew I had to have the first Beeper in the country to be clad in it.

Your rides look sweet too. That 71 Charger had such a long nose because of the engineered crinkle zone. It was the Dora-9 of the muscle car world!

I thought it looked pearl (Im in the biz)...but with the low mileage, figured it might be orig paint as well.  Hard to judge in pics anyway.

Sweet ride.  Great to see another classic stomper in the Collective AH garage!

She had low miles when I bought her in 1993, but sat outside a lot. The original high impact "arrest me" color Curious Yellow was quite faded and I wrestled with the repaint project for some time before I saw TCN at the Chrysler plant that day.

Check this out ...too funny!

Very nice.

Had a sassy grass '70 440 in my youth...and a bunch more...  I've been muscle car era freak my whole life.  RR always been in my top 5 favs.  A lot of car enthusiasts here...and a bunch of threads and pics buried in these forums.

Last week I put up some more pics of my '68 here:

damn sweet ride bud :aok

love the MOPARs :rock

I like the look of the earlier Road Runners better, but I would rather have a junked out MOPAR than a brand new cheby/fork/pontik any day..... :D

my old ride that sadly I sold.

you can see it here in the background at Chrysler's at Carlyle :rock :rock :rock

by far the toughest baddest car ever made....( second only to the the 71 Cuda)

I had the 340/727 combo....thing was unbreakable.

MOPAR OR NOCAR

a great vid for us MOPAR lovers.
