I guess you could say I hope the map will allow large amounts of base captures in a fun area to not stop the fight but move it into even more interesting locations.

hopefully with this in mind the base capture crowd can run hog wild and those that just want a good fight will never have trouble finding it.

because the front is not much larger than SFMA's starting base line though much deeper it is hoped the players will be forced to run into eachother no matter where they attack and no matter how much land is taken the fight will be there for all wanting it.

Question (forgive me if it's been answered) - are the fields/ports highlighted in red the ones that are uncapturable?

yes arlo. on that diagram I put red boxes around the uncapturable fields.

but those uncapturable cv's out in the edges of the map that spawn next to that port...

HT wanted those uncapturable cv groups moved next to their uncapturable ports.

the only direct change this will make in gameplay in that area is it will take a while longer for the center port to come under carrier attack giving a break in the carrier action in that area instead of continuous cv battle in these spots.

thats the only point that has come up so far during HTC's review of the map and I already updated the files and changed it immediately upon getting their response and sent them the updated files.

Ok. Thanks for the repsonse. My personal preference is to have the opportunity for CV ops in the MA. I don't even much mind there being moments of 'continuous action.' Every side having a port that can't be captured is a good thing, imo.

Not unless that has been coaded in.  From the looks of it, it appears as if the HQ and strats are supposed to be an integral part of this map, not an afterthought or a secondary target.

no the strats on this map remain in place just like small maps.

It will never see rotation in the MA. Its lacking in way to many ways. Damn shame we could all enjoy a new map.
